Here we see an example of a rather simple, early 17th century binding with the armorial seal of Count Fugger-Kirchberg. Orsini's Epistole amorose was a popular work, and an inexpensive limp binding would have been common for such a volume. Many such works were issued from the printer in limp vellum, and Fugger-Kirchberg may have simply applied his arms to this original binding.
